I have been making some really impressive things these days, and it is about time to share! Let’s start with DIY stuff! Look at this super cute scarf I made. It is literally the easiest thing ever to make. I was kind of skeptical that I could make something that would actually be wearable in the real world (as opposed to around my home, because that in and of itself, is a world of its own :] ). But let me tell you, I WILL be wearing this, and I will be wearing it often. I can’t wait for people to say, “wow that’s cute, where’d you get it?!” and for me to say, “I MADE IT!!” haha! It’s the small things, people!
Also, I gathered several ideas from pinterest and put them all into one, and put a little Ashley touch on them and viola! Look how cute my frame turned out. I got the frame on sale for about $8, and everything else was free! I had this cute paper left over from another project and the burlap (lots and lots) left over from our wedding! The verse says “…open your hearts, love is on the way” Jude 1:2. If you look it up, it is from The Message version. The little leaf was a small gift from God on a hard day that I have been saving for quite some time now. I am so happy with how it turned out!
Okay so DIY number three…I found this cool frame at our local antique store for $5, and paid about $3 total for the puff paint and the paper used for this one. I found the quote on pinterest also. I am really really happy with how this turned out. I like it that it isn’t exactly perfect, and that you can tell I handmade it :] It did take quite some time, but it was definitely worth it!
If anyone is interested on how to make any of these, let me know, I’ll post it all up here!
So here’s what I made for Kellen for his breakfast in bed. This is my first recipe sharing blog, so forgive me for having too few pictures, next time I’ll have a picture of all the ingredients needed initially! :]
First, Preheat oven to 400. Sorry I missed this photo :/
Then, butter a muffin pan with a stick of butter or cooking spray. My butter wasn’t getting soft fast enough, so I eventually just went with my good ol’ cooking spray!

Next, Get out six piece of bread and a glass. The size of the glass doesn’t matter that much, I thought mine were going to be too big, but they ended up being perfect to give the little cups some structure like a traditional muffin
Pull crust away from glass. This reminded me of those Uncrustables they sell for little kids in stores, I always wondered how those were made, now I wonder if some poor lady is stuck in a factory line all day pulling away crusts from a glass…anyway…Put the little cut outs into the bottoms of the cups and smash them down just a little so they aren’t too high.
I hated the idea of throwing away most of six pieces of bread, so I decided to save them, and have something to feed the birds, the next time we go on a picnic date! Everyone should have something tasty on a picnic! :D
Next, in a frying pan cook bacon until it is done, but not crispy, about 3-5 minutes. Now, my best friends mom gave me the neatest thing for cooking up bacon in the microwave, its perfect for just two people, so I opted to use that instead. My bacon came out a little too crispy, but it was fine in the end product, just a little harder to mold to the pan.
After you bacon is all cooked and yummy smelling, mold bacon along the periphery of the break as to secure the egg and cheese later. It should look something like this:
Next, add your cheese! I grated onto a plate, then sprinkled into each cup, it would have been too much of a mess to do it directly over each one. Be generous, in retrospect, I’ll add more cheese, you couldn’t taste it much with all the other flavors. Oh well, now I know :]
Next is the hardest part, but it’s really not that hard. Crack your eggs so that you can get rid of about half of the white of the egg, then put the yolk and remaining egg white on the top of the cheese, be careful not to break the egg yolk. I did on a couple, and it was okay, but the unbroken ones were much better. See the difference in the broken and unbroken?

They should look like this, just beautiful.

Then put them in the oven! Bake for 6-10 minutes, if you like your yolk unrunny, go longer. I think I did ours for about 12-13 minutes, and Kellen said he loved them and that is exactly how he likes his eggs, but I think I would have liked them a little more runny, just for flavor. Little baby Meiko was anxiously awaiting!

Here are the FINAL RESULTS! :D Salt and Pepper to taste, and I even added a little mustard to mine, can you say YUM?

yayy!
Ingredients:
6 slices of bacon
6 slices of bread
Shredded cheese
6 eggs
Salt and pepper
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 400° F. Grease 6 wells of a muffin pan with butter. In a frying pan, cook bacon about 3-5 minutes, until partially cooked but not completely crispy. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate. Cut out rounds of bread (I used a 3.5-inch round cookie cutter, but a drinking glass would be fine.) Press the bread rounds into the greased muffin wells. Curl a piece of bacon around the periphery of each piece of bread, positioning it between the bread and the muffin tin to help keep it in position. Sprinkle a small amount of shredded cheese in the center of each piece of bread. One at a time, crack an egg, removing about half of the white, and dropping the remaining white and yolk over each piece of bread, being careful not to break the yolks. Once all the bread pieces have been topped with eggs, bake until eggs are cooked through to your liking (about 6-10 minutes) and bacon is crispy. Run a knife around the edge of each muffin well and pop the egg cups out. Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve immediately.
